European Water Vapour Column Maps from NOAA-ATOVS

Temperature and dewpoint temperature profiles are calculated from ATOVS sensor onboard NOAA-14/-16 for the field of view of DLR’s NOAA antenna.

Total water vapour column is derived after integration of these profiles. This site presents example images of total water vapour column distributions. Please note: the near real time processing service stopped end of 2005.

NOAA-16 Total Water Vapor Column Images

(Typically 6 overpasses per day with possibility of 7 on some days).

Further data is available upon request for NOAA14 data (01 January 1999 - 31 December 2003), and NOAA16 data (01 January 2001 - 2005).
