Near-real-time Ozone Profiles (Level 2) from ERS-2/GOME
The level-2 ozone profiles on this page are based on GOME level-1 radiances. A detailed description of the neural network based retrieval algorithm (NNORSY), as well as product specifications are given at the NNORSY page. Due to the failure of the tape recorder of ERS-2 on
June 25, 2003 this NRT service has been discontinued. Latest information on
the GOME instrument can be found here.
This near-real-time product from the Global Ozone Monitoring Experiment aboard
ESAs ERS-2 was computed operationally at DLR within the N-GONG project (Near-real-time
Global Ozone Network from GOME).

The near-real-time level-2 ozone profile product has been developed with financial support from BMBF in a joint project of the Center for Solar Energy and Hydrogen Research Baden-Württemberg (ZSW), the Institute of Environmental Physics (iup) at the University of Bremen and the Remote Sensing Technology Institute at DLR (BMBF projects 50EE9904 and 50EE9905).
